We celebrate the many elite thoroughbreds that are racing!

Congratulations, Logon to Win!

In the midst of a racing season that sees the likes of Mystik Dan, Sierra Leone, Forever Young and West Saratoga (the one grey horse in the Kentucky Derby field) we also salute the elite athletes that gallop in other races, like today's .

Very special to us at Team Eddie's Turn is Logon to Win, who won for the first time on fast dirt at Santa Anita, where our Eddie also raced in his day, on May 4, ahead of Cody Boy. That was the same day as the Kentucky Derby saw that incredible nose-by-nose finish last weekend.

Logon was foaled on February 29, 2020 on Rolf Gustafsson's ranch. Rolf, a consummate horseman, knew that Logon would take his time to get into his true form. His mother, Deccan Queen was large, as was his father, Mohaymen.

Rolf was right.

Growing up, Logon was a boisterous youngster. As a two-year-old, he thought he was the bee's knees. Cocky and a bit full of himself, he tried to let the other horses know who was the boss. Until they told him to get a hold of himself.

Few horses could be as bossy as Logon when it came to getting his way. That included getting his carrots. He was a teenager who had more drive than brains. But what adolescent doesn't?

But in time, he grew up. He started racing a so-so career until May 4, 2024 when he exploded on the track. Now owned and trained by Cesar DeAlba and under jockey Hector Isaac Berrios, Logon to Win showed what it's like when a powerful colt grows up and finds his stride.

Take a look at his fantastic win at Santa Anita HERE.

We can't wait to see more of you, Logon, and special congratulations to your breeder, Rolf Gustafsson.
